Data Analyst

Description

We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our team! The successful candidate has broad exposure to a variety of technologies/concepts and is driven to deliver database solutions for our client’s complex requirements.

What you’ll get to do:
  • Design, test and implement one-time and regularly run data conversion routines for the import of client data from competitor application databases 
  • Develop ongoing import and export routines to interface the Angus AnyWhere system with other applications
  • Collaborate with the Data Specialists and Customer Success Managers to identify conversion requirements and define project timelines
  • Assist in the development of an import tool for the direct import of data from standardized templates 
  • Increase efficiency of conversion tools to expedite deployment onto playground environments and production servers
  • Support and document best practices, processes, and standards for improving the data conversion process
  • Gain in depth knowledge of the Angus AnyWhere data structures, Angus AnyWhere suite of applications, and client usage of applications
     

 

Who you are:
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent specialized training/certification 
  • 5+ years of experience performing data conversions/ETL, data manipulations or database support, preferably within a SaaS company
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server is required
  • Proficient in database modeling, T-SQL, scripting, querying, stored procedures, and SSIS packages 
  • Good understanding on the role of databases in a web application stack
  • Experience in developing migration solutions within SQL Server, SSRS, ETL tools, Power BI, data conversions, data deduplication, and data cleansing
  • Familiar with other database systems (MariaDB), IDEs (VSCode), Git (GitHub), PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, Python, API, Docker, AWS, Excel, SharePoint, or SFTP
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize multiple projects in order to meet project deadlines
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to anticipate any database issues and consider different approaches to troubleshoot 
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal) to engage with both technical and non-technical teams
